Early today I had composed a blog to send out this weekend but put it off as we had plans with friends to see movie The Sound of Freedom. How sweet it would be to tell you this was an uplifting, feel good film. All I can say is I have never before been so impacted by anything on the big screen. Please, if you haven’t already, make plans to see this production. I won’t even begin to try to describe the impact it had on Jerry, our friends who accompanied us, and me. You will not exit the theater feeling good, but I do believe you will walk out feeling challenged to do something, anything to make a positive difference in the lives of precious, innocent children.
Think on this admonition from Matthew 18:6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones–those who believe in me–to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” And Jesus words in Matthew 19:14 “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
I should not attempt to add or detract one iota from God’s Holy Word; however, He in His mercy is much kinder than I, for I would wreck much harsher havoc on child abusers than mere drowning. And I also believe ALL little ones should be saved and protected, even those who don’t believe.
With prayers and hope for children everywhere,
Charlotte
“God’s Children cannot be sold”
Such a powerful sentiment Charlotte. We hope to see this impactful film. The verse from Matthew says it all.
We saw it and all I can say is, it is horrific and excellently done. Please go to Angel.com and place an order. We need to shout this message from the rooftops: God’s Children are not for sale!
Correction: their website for merchandise is: shop.angel.com
Love you and thank you
I cannot wait to see this movie and yet, now knowing how it made you feel, will I be so angry and upset as I leave the theatre? Be cause this is not just a movie but real life.
We also saw the movie. I agree with your sentiments Charlotte and am spreading the word about the movie: it’s a “must see”!
Sounds like I need to see this film but part of me does not want to.
I haven’t seen the film yet, but I watched an interview with a woman who was used as a sex slave, and groomed to be a spy. She was loaned to high ranking international figures. She said she was a “ throw away” child sold by her mother. This story still haunts me.
We will be back on the 18th and got tickets for the 20th. It will be hard to watch but we need to know what is really happening. We have some very evil individuals trying to change our world.
