Thank you to those who have asked why I haven’t blogged in quite a while.  So many reasons including travel, approximately 4-5 hours daily on my new Wellness Pro microcurrent machine, cleaning up after Jerry & the cats, (mostly the cats) etc.

On July 27 when I awoke to my 73rd birthday, I sat down at the computer and wrote the following:

It isn’t easy turning 73 when you wake up with pain in the back and both knees, But blessed do we feel, dear old Jerry and me, to have friends and loved ones like you, don’t you see? And if we should live to 103, we’ll end up in Heaven with Jesus and thee. But if I go sooner, please don’t grieve for me for I’m rejoicing in Heaven and will watch for thee. The days go by quickly, but nights are so long, so I try to start days with a happy praise song of faith & redemption, of praise and vict’ry, knowing that someday my Savior I’ll see.

Yes, I’m old say the numbers and the mirrors don’t lie, and we’re speeding through savings and will be broke when we die!  But you can’t take it with you, no u-haul you’ll see, for in the end it’s just Jesus and me.

I love you all dearly, sweet friends far and wide, and my prayer is that someday together we’ll abide. So go take on the day now and don’t trust in your wealth. Give your heart to the Lord and pray for good health.  And no matter what happens in your life or mine, my prayer is together we’ll be for all time.

Yes, I’m a poet and don’t know it, but my feet show it.  They are Longfellows!!!!!!  Seriously…..size 9. Well ok sometimes 9-1/2.

Winston Churchill said “….I remember the story of the old man who said on his deathbed that he had had a lot of trouble in his life, most of which had never happened.”

Well, my dear Charlotte, 73 is quite young. You are not allowed to say you are old until you pass the century mark. Besides, I will be 73 in a month, too, and I’m not old.

Loved your poem……..we shall, indeed (God willing) meet in heaven. However, I assume we may meet sooner if we meet in Phoenix. Love to you both, Linda
